Why can't I find my apartment in the list?

Selfnet only serves the following dormitories:

* Allmandring 8 to 22
* Heilmannstaße. 4 (AXA-Building)
* Bauhäusle
* Pfaffenhof 42 to 50
* Holzgartenstraße (Max-Kade–Dormitories)
* Rosenbergstraße (Theodor-Heuss–Dormitory)

For the other dorms either WH-Netz or a commercial provider are responsible.

Move

After moving to another room or dormitory:

If you move to a new apartment that is also served by Selfnet, you just have to visit our support with your new rental agreement. Unfortunately you won't be able to participate in our network if you move to a dormitory not served by Selfnet. If you want to withdraw your membership see How do I cancel my membership?

What do I need to do when I move out?

Your membership doesn't end automatically. If you don't move to another Selfnet dormitory or if you don't like to be a Selfnet member anymore you need to cancel your Membership. See also How do I cancel my membership?

How do I sign up for membership?

Note: If you're still not 18 years old your parents need to send us an agreement. You can get the form by your housekeeper.

How do I cancel my membership?

If you want to cancel your membership, you have two options:

* visit our Support
* fill in a cancellation form and either post it to our office or scan it and send it via e-mail to our support.

You have to cancel your membership a minimum of two weeks before the end of the month. Backdated cancellations can't be accepted.

Note:

The cancellation has been recorded when you received an confirmation e-mail from us. If you don't receive this confirmation e-mail within a maximum of one week, then we probably did not receive you cancellation form. In this case you must contact our support (support@selfnet.de)!

What do I have to do when I get my rental agreement extended?

As soon as you get your new rental agreement you have the following options:

* Visit our Support with your rental agreement

* Make a copy of your contract and drop it into our mailbox (DON'T deposit the original contract, as we will destroy it after processing)

* Scan the contract and send it by e-mail

Membership fee and booking

Why were 14€ / 21€ / 28€ booked from my bank account?

We always book the membership fees in advance of the next three months. Because the fee is 7€, we usually book 21€.

The fees for the rest of the last month will be booked together with the money for the next three months, if you signed up shortly after the beginning of the next quarter of the year. This results in a total of 28€.

If you withdraw your membership before the end of a three month period, you will of course get the rest of your money back.

I was asked to transfer money to your bank account. What are your bank details?

Our bank details are written in the same e-mail in which you were asked to transfer money to our bank account.

Please transfer the exact amount of money, that is mentioned in the treasurer's email. After we receive the money the automatic direct debiting will be resumed.

The direct debiting failed. Why do I have to pay an extra fee?

Caused by a failure of the debit entry (because of an unfunded or expired bank account or because of a wrong or revoked direct debit authorization) a bank charge (5.66€ - 8.66€) will accumulate. You will have to pay the bank charge yourself, as it would unfair towards the other members, if they had to pay for it.

My bank details have changed. What do I need to do?

We need a new direct debit authorization in order to be able to book money from your account. It is only possible to turn in the new direct debit authorization in written form. Please fill in the direct debit authorization form and put it in our mailbox or turn it in during support hours. Further Information about submitting forms to Selfnet can be found at the Forms page
