Relaunch of My.Selfnet
Some of you may still know the old My.Selfnet which has been closed during security reasons and technical problems some time ago.
Since some time passed and the software has been completely new written we can present you the result. Since today My.Selfnet ist available again!
For all who don't know My.Selfnet the core characteristics:
- Change the email-address which is registered at Selfnet and view your other Data.
- Add, change and delete
- IP addresses
- MAC addresses
- DNS-Names of your devices
- Portforwardings (if you already signed the regulations for portforwardings)
- Activate or deactivate your IPv6
Furthermore the logindata of My.Selfnet will be used for other services later (e.g. the Selfnet WLAN).
For your registration visit my.selfnet.de and register with the currently at Selfnet used email-address. (Important: You need to be in your room to register.)

Software-Updates -> short outages
Due to important software-updates we'll be expecting a few short outages
Support at the Theodor-Heuss-Dormitory
As some students who live at the Theodor-Heuss-Dormitory wanted to participate in the Selfnet network there is a support-hour again already since last Wednesday (11.1.2012).
From now on there will be regular support-hours every Wednesday from 7:30 to 8 pm.
Changes in the Quota-System
Dear Members,
as you all know, we have to limit the transfer volume of our internet
uplink. As the uplink only had a minor load average over the last few
months and because the research and education limitations have been
softened, we have decided to stock up the Quota.
Therefore we decided to extend the fast quota by 100% from 100 to 200GB
per month on 11th January. When the fast quota is depleted, the speed
will be decreased to 16KB/s without any quota restrictions on the slow
speed.
As long as our uplink wont be overstrained, we will continue to raise
the Quota in the future.

Downtime IPv6 17.12.2011
To optimze our IPv6 routing it is necessary to shut it down this evening.
We apologize for any inconveniences.
Edit: It should work all again. But we shifted the addresses a bit so it could happen you get no IPv6 connectivity until you reboot your PC.
