Hackerspace Stuttgart
Today, the first hackerspace in Stuttgart – shackspace – was founded. This hackerspace is powered by shack e.V. Shack e.V. will provide a platform for computer based arts and culture.

Internet disconnection for the city dormitories on saturday
During some power-outages at important network-knots at saturday some internet failures can occur for the following city dormitories:
- Heilmannstraße (AXA-Building)
- Max-Kade Heim
- Theodor-Heuss-Heim
- The Studentenhotel
Unfortuanetly some essential maintance jobs cause this outages. It will be tried to avoid those cut offs respectively to keep them as short as possible.
Critical security hole in Internet Explorer [UPDATE]
The german Federal Office for Information Security ("BSI") strongly advises everyone to stop using the Internet Explorer while the problems have not yet been solved. Though the Security Advisory published by Microsoft reduces the risk being affected by an attack, it does not guarantee you not being hit by an exploitation of these vulnerabilities.
Some alternative web browsers are:

- Opera (all operating systems)
